FENG SHUI & TRAVEL

Immersed in travel and tourism activities for the past 25 years, has been a transformational experience that helped me to be aware of the necessity to create an effectively feng shuied personal space before traveling. As a Feng Shui practitioner during these years, I had the opportunity to gather some helpful tips, cures, and secrets to prepare in advance sacred space wherever my family and I would go. This incredible journey also allowed me to be conscious of the magic and healing power of the five Feng Shui elements (Water, Air, Earth, Fire, and Metal) and benefit from it while I’m on the move, hosting guests, visiting places, meeting people, or just opening my mind and heart to respect the world and at the same time being grateful and appreciative. This has been my daily lesson.
Now, I would like to share some tips from the Feng Shui library to activate our Travel area in your home before departure; easy suggestions that will hold you well during the traveling days.

BA-GUA

To activate and prepare the Travel space in your home, we'll need to find these 3 Areas as you see in the Ba-Gua.

1. Friends (White)
2. Wealth (Purple)
3. Career - Protection (Black)

1.      TRAVEL AREA /FRIENDS - WHITE

The travel Area in your home is on the Northwest side.  If you look from your front door it will be to your right and this will be the Benefactors, Friends, and TRAVEL space. The color is White.
It is in this room or area where we are going to apply the Feng Shui cures for our traveling plans:
  • Clean your home and get rid of any clutter. Especially in this room.
  • Then, choose photos of the places you want to go to or places you would like to return to.
  • Find frames preferable metal portraits to frame the pictures
  • Get a metal Buddha or some symbolic high-level master or guide in whom you trust and share your dreams.
  • Do affirmation every day: Like phrases affirming the journey is already accomplished, for example: “I am in Ecuador enjoying the Galapagos Islands and all its fauna and flora.”

  • Prepare a ceramic container with 9 semiprecious stones like amethyst, jade, white quartz, etc.
  • Prepare art or pictures in intense yellow tones that represent the earth's area.
To make more effective our feng shuied Travel area, we’ll also need to adjust other areas in our home as the Money area (Purple) to have plenty while we travel, and the Safety area for protection (Black) and success on your Journey.

2. WEALTH AREA/MONEY - PURPLE

(To have plenty of resources for  travel)

The money area is in the Southeast. From your front door look to the front of you to your upper left; that is Wealth. Color Purple.  This area must be activated with:
  • A green plant with round leaves or bamboo-like flexible plant. Avoid placing TV or audio equipment in this place. If there are and cannot be run.
  • Add elements with water, such as vases or fish tanks.
  • Place pictures with flowers, crystal clear waters or spring.
  • Place a picture where you see the place you want to visit and if it is possible to choose a picture that includes water.
  • Paint the wall in green tones, avoid reddish and yellow tones, in this area.
  • Never place red candles in the Wealth/Money area.
  • If possible, place a sailboat.  a small box with coins and semiprecious stones.

3.       AREA OF SAFETY/CAREER - BLACK

This is the area that corresponds to the North, Color Black. In your, Ba-Gua is your Front Door.  This area will activate your dream trip and materialize any journey you have in mind.
Activate it in the following way:
  • Place plants with round leaves, red flowers or flexible like palms. Never pointed like cactus or sharp edges.
  • Red candles preferably. (here is Ok.)
  • Himalayan salt lamps that should be left on.
  • Pictures in red or checkered colors with red flowers.
  • Images of forests and suns.

TIPS

  • You may reinforce these adjustments with a daily morning pray and visualization/intention before your meditation.
  • If possible, choose an auspicious travel day and/or auspicious day for your Chinese Zodiac animal from the Chinese Almanac to begin your travels.
  • Before leaving, take a metal bell and face east to ring the bell 9 times.
  • Turn in a clockwise direction to face all the other 8 Ba-Gua directions, ringing the bell 9 times in each direction ending facing east once again. This ritual helps avoid bad luck for travel.
  • Bring a talisman or amulet with you, for safety and protection.
  • Be Grateful and do something good every day.
  • And, a very important: say the “3 Secret Reinforcements” (to remove known and unknown obstacles) often! (OM MA NI PAD ME HUM).  Or any pray of good intention from your own spiritual tradition.
Lastly, I would like to honor my Teachers: His Holiness Grandmaster Professor Lin Yun, in California and Barbara Bobrowitz ” Energetic Alignments”, in Minnesota US  for their wisdom and teachings.

"The word associated with the feng shui helpful people/travel area is synchronicity. Synchronicity means that everything comes to you when you need it, you are always in the right place at the right time and you always have the necessary help and guidance. Everything runs smoothly. "
